Southern California's Premier Holiday Flotilla
The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a cherished Southern California tradition sponsored by the Port of San Diego. Featuring more than 80 decorated powerboats, sailboats, and commercial craft, the procession illuminates San Diego Bay over two consecutive Sundays in December.
Parade Route & Prime Viewing Locations
The procession starts at Shelter Island, moves past Harbor Island, Seaport Village, the Embarcadero, and finishes at the Coronado Ferry Landing. Key viewing vantage points include:
- Shelter Island Shoreline: Offers the earliest views as the parade commences. Lawn space is ideal for folding chairs.
