A Century-Old Maritime Legend
Hailed as one of the top holiday events in the United States by The New York Times, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade features over 100 decorated vessels traversing 14 miles around Newport Harbor each evening for five consecutive nights.
Entries range from multi-million dollar luxury yachts equipped with synchronized pyrotechnics to lighted electric boats and decorated kayaks. Concurrent with the parade, bayfront homeowners participate in the "Ring of Lights" contest, decorating multi-million dollar estates.
Prime Public Spectator Spots
Spectators can view the parade free of charge from Marina Park (featuring a 10.5-acre park with viewing lawns), Lido Isle, and the Balboa Boardwalk. Paid dinner cruises operate along the parade path throughout the week.
